REGULAR SCHOOL BELL SCHEDULE

INTERESTED IN CARIBOO HILL?

Located in a park-like suburban setting, École Cariboo Hill Secondary is a wonderful school with a great deal to offer its students. Cariboo students belong to a small community where they are able to get to know and be known by their classmates and teachers. This adds to our caring atmosphere, creating a safe and respectful school community. In addition, our small population allows students to receive individual attention and support as they pursue their education goals.

École Cariboo Hill Secondary is a comprehensive school, offering a full range of academic and elective courses and extra-curricular activities. We provide students with opportunities for enrichment through Honours classes at the junior level and Advanced Placement Courses at the senior level. Advanced Placement courses allow students to receive first year university credit while they complete their graduation program. These rigorous courses are recognized across North America and are offered at Cariboo Hill in the following areas: Psychology, Calculus, Biology, Chemistry, Statistics, Literature, World History, Computer Science and Physics. Our Honours Program is offered in English, Science, Social Studies and Math, providing students with enrichment to the curriculum.

Our school also boasts a variety of elective programs. The Fine Arts Department hosts our award winning music program including Concert Band, Stage Band and Choir, along with Art, Photography and Dance. We also offer a host of Technology courses, including two ACE-IT programs that provide students with industry certification in Automotive Technician and Carpentry and Framing and a course in Guitar Building. We also offer a range of courses in Computer Science, Business Education, Physical Education, Home Economics and Leadership.

As our name indicates, École Cariboo Hill Secondary is a bilingual school. We began hosting a French Immersion Program in our school in 2006. We started with a class of Grade 8 students, and the program will grow with this first class. The French Immersion Program is open to students who have completed either Late or Early Immersion Programs in their elementary school years. This highly sought after course of study provides students with instruction in French for their core academic courses and instruction in French for English, Physical Education and all of their electives.

For more information about our school or to arrange a registration interview, please telephone the school at 604-664-8568.
